Riverwood Poetry Series is proud to co-sponsor with the Wadsworth Atheneum a presentation by poet Daniel Wolff, who will read from The Names of Birds along with filmmaker John Sayles, producer Maggie Renzi, and others on Thursday, April 2. The reading will take place at the Wadsworth Atheneum as part of their First Thursday event, which runs from 5 – 8 p.m. The poetry reading will take place at 7 p.m. The First Thursday event includes as well a museum tour, live music, free food, and a cash bar.
About the Poet:
Daniel Wolff‘s poems appear in the Paris Review, Partisan Review, Three Penny Review, and other journals. His latest non-fiction book is How Lincoln Learned to Read: Twelve Great Americans and the Educations that Made Them. He is currently working with director Jonathan Demme on a documentary about citizens returning to New Orleans. His poetry book The Names of Birds has been described as a “field guide to perception.”
