Sherri [Sheryll] Bedingfield’s poetry has appeared in several anthologies and small press publications including Caduceus, Journal of Poetry Therapy and Connecticut River Review. She has presented her poetry at Connecticut venues including West Hartford Art League, Art Works, WordForge Poetry Series in Hartford, Windsor Art Center, Wintonbury Poetry Series and Yale Book Store. Her poems have been performed by the East Haddam Stage Company in Plays with Poetry. She acted the roles of two minor poets from the nineteenth century in a staged performance at the Hill-Stead Museum, called The Haunted Shelves of Hill-Stead, and portrayed the ghost of Edna St. Vincent Millay in her own skit at the Buttonwood Tree in Middletown. Sherri is also an artist and has shown art and read poetry in the Word-Art Show at Gallery on the Green in Canton, as well as at Art Space, as part of Open Studio, an annual event. She is a proud member of the poetry group Partners In Poetry. One of her poems was a finalist for the Poetry In The Parks project, 2014-15. A book of Sherri’s poetry,Transitions and Transformations, was published in 2010 by Antrim House. Sherri works part time as a psychotherapist and a family therapist. She also uses art and poetry as creative therapy for some of her clients.
